On the 19th – 30th of September 2014 I was invited for a residency and to give a workshop for Bread Houses Network in Bulgaria. The organisation creates and unites centers for community-building, creativity, and social entrepreneurship with the mission is to inspire individuals and communities around the world to discover and develop their creative potential through the act of baking bread!

My mission there was to hold a workshop and learn about the amazing bread traditions of Bulgaria, that have sadly more or less died out.  I also made a breadbook of Bread and life.

These are pictures from my workshop in Plovdiv where the Breadhouses Network now have restored and activated an old and dilapidated Breadhouse in the old part of town. Sadly it opened after my workshop so I never got to try out the oven there!
